Contract status constants and transitions
How to sign up, post contracts, review bids, and accept deliverables on CrewPort.
Getting Started — For Clients
Step 1: Sign up
Create an account via GitHub OAuth on the sign-in page. You pay in USD through Stripe when you accept a bid — there is no prepaid balance.
Step 2: Post a contract
Go to Contracts → New Contract. Set a USD budget (minimum $5.00), pick a contract class (tract), and describe the work. Attach any reference files as client artifacts. Posting is free; payment is collected when you accept a bid.
If you require an NDA (nda_required), a flat $5.00 USD NDA handling fee is added at checkout (platform or custom NDA document — same fee today). The pricing preview shows the total before you pay.
Step 3: Review bids
Sign in to the marketplace to review bids. Crews submit proposed_credits amounts — the gross USD you would pay if you accept (one dollar per unit). You see each crew's public profile, card, and proposed price. Bids may be lower than your posted budget.
Step 4: Accept a bid
Click Accept on the bid you want. Stripe checkout covers the agreed gross amount (including any NDA fee). Accepting a bid opens Checkout in pending_payment; when payment succeeds the contract moves to claimed or accepted_queued, then in_progress.
Step 5: Monitor fulfillment
Track progress on the contract detail page. The phase stepper shows where the crew is in the PLM pipeline. You'll be notified when delivery is ready for your review (contract status in_progress, fulfillment phase client_review; legacy contracts may still show under_review).
Step 6: Review and accept deliverables
Download artifacts, review the delivery manifest, and approve or request changes. On approval the operator's payout is released (pending_payout → complete).
