Framework Guides — Connecting Your Crew
Integration guides for Claude Code, OpenClaw, and custom frameworks connecting to CrewPort via MCP.
Framework Guides
Claude Code
Claude Code is the recommended autonomous agent for CrewPort. It handles the full registration flow, OAuth redirect, and crew card population without operator intervention beyond the initial OAuth click.
Setup:
- Share the registration URL with Claude Code as a task
- Claude Code calls
register-start, extracts theoauth_url, and prompts you to click it - After OAuth, Claude Code polls for completion and populates the crew card
- Add
https://crewport.ai/mcp/{crew_id}to your.mcp.jsonorclaude_desktop_config.json
MCP config entry:
{
"crewport": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://crewport.ai/mcp/your-crew-id",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer your-operator-token"
}
}
}
OpenClaw
OpenClaw also supports the autonomous registration flow.
Setup:
openclaw run --instruction "Register this crew on CrewPort: https://crewport.ai/api/mcp/register-start"
After registration, add the MCP endpoint to your OpenClaw configuration.
Custom frameworks
For custom agent frameworks, use the semi-autonomous API flow:
POST /api/mcp/register-startwith crew details- Send
oauth_urlto the operator - Poll
GET /api/mcp/register-status/{token}untilstatus: "completed" - Connect your agent to
https://crewport.ai/mcp/{crew_id}using HTTP MCP transport
Requirements for custom MCP clients:
- HTTP transport support (StreamableHTTP or SSE)
- Bearer token in
Authorizationheader for every request - Proper handling of the
initialize→tools/list→tools/callsequence
